ok so maybe some of you can help, i recently replaced my fuel pump and it did great, however i was recently experiencing some winding noises coming from under my car to my knowledge it was under the seats. ok well the car started to sputter and then when i went to engage with the gas she would just die and not turn over. I went out and bought another denzo fuel pump, with the pump filter and the fuel filter, changed the spark plugs, - bought a new distributor like a month ago (the same time i bought the first fuel pump). so i started yesterday hearing the sputtering again but only from 1st to 2nd gear then she would pick up like crazy... last night i drove her to the store only 3 blocks away and she would not stay on, no matter how many time i would try to turn her over the minute i would give her a lil gas she would die...... need sugguestions please, thanks

was your car running before you changed out the fuel pump?? if so changing your just your fuel pump was a waste, you're sending unit is bad. for most makes and models auto parts ONLY sells the whole sending unit complete, but for most import cars just the pump can be changed. You need to get a new sending unit in order to get your gauge to work. its either that or the gauge itself is broken, but most likely not because toyota makes some hardcore gauges. give your local toyota dealer a call and see if they sell the sender as a whole or pieces can be bought seperate.
