I for the life of me can't find out what this CEL code is. First background- Currently my ST204 has a hardly leaky rear main seal or it could have been the PCV Valve cause it had oil in it and after cleaning it out it doesn't seem to be dripping but I haven't really looked into it yet but by checking the dipstick every day. So I'm pulling out of the house yesterday to head to work and the CEL comes on. I go around hoping someone has a code reader for it, which of course no one does so I jump TE1 and E1. Now to the actually important part-
Click for video. I think its a "No Code" but my buddy up at the shop (old imports aren't his thing...) thinks it could be 22 (Water Temp Sensor). Any guesses? I haven't cleared the code yet, I'm going to in the morning to see if it comes back or if it was just some freak of nature because this is the first time I've EVER had it come on, shes pretty good to me so far ![]() This post has been edited by travisxcore: Apr 10, 2012 - 10:07 PM |

sorry i was counting the transmission error codes
codes for the check engine is correct as stated above, but you do have a tranny problem as well. I would assume you have rough shifting or it kicks into neutral sometimes or it feels like loss of power like it skips a gear. besides the errors you are focusing on, shift solenoid is easy repair, i have sticky on that one but again it also part electrical sometimes not just the shift solenoid. these error codes are just good guides on where to start or look at to see whats causing it. 12 For OBDI - All the possible areas of concern can range from the distributor or the disttributor circuit, starter/ignition signal circuit, the ignitor or the ECU itself but on another toyota related site i get knock control or RPM signal, dammit toyota has too many. 22 engine coolant temperature sensor do you actually notice a problem that makes you think those codes mean something or you see those codes but you don't notice anything wrong with your car you just wanna fix it to make sure it doesnt get worse? or tired of just seeing those codes?
