Can it be changed? If so that'd be delightful. Why Sphere though? Casey would work.

So been trying to think of how to make all the Miata colours work out for me, since I'm DYING to get driving again. That and I don't want to pass up a good, or even fair, deal because it's not blue or black. Well, aside from Classic Red anyway since I HATE bright red. I do like the Garnet Red though the more I look at, I'd just HAVE to tint the tail lights though to help separate them from the red paint. That and I think I low key might like the Emerald Green Mica most, at least when paired with the tan interior and top that comes on all factory LSD cars aside from special editions and the rare HARD-S that were more or less base model packages with only the performance options. I want/need cruise control, so those are out. Since between dying to drive again and I'd prefer the 6-speed over the 5-speed I'm trying to be more open on colour, so beggars and choosers etc... I think worst case if it's Pure White or Sunlight Silver then those can be spruced up with purple and teal accents, and white could be covered in some kind of pearl white vinyl... so I guess I'd prefer it over silver unless there's some silver based vinyl out there I'd like as much.

Side note and somewhat relative, I decided to change things up and did my nails in this nice reddish orange pearl colour. That'd look nice on a Miata, and they did have Lava Orange but it was on the Mazdaspeed only. I WISH I had the money for the Mazdaspeed, since that's like the perfect Miata from the factory. Just bolt-ons and a tune away from more than enough power to make me happy.

I can’t change screen names on here, but I’m with Box on the gender change. No more masculine 4Runner, in with the cutesy Ravioli.

Darn... Oh well...

I like the RAV4 more than the 4Runner, but I have to ask why? I was going to say that couldn't be working in your faviour financially, but then I remembered how overpriced used 4Runners, Tacomas, and Tundras are.

I personally like 4Runners way more than Raviolis. The last body style had poor visibility and made no effort to hide the fact that it was a taller AWD hatchback Corolla. I genuinely hated the last body style of Rav4 the way Richard Hammond hates the Nissan Juke. However, I have just never really been sold on this 4Runner. Our last one was smaller and significantly more nimble than this one, always felt more composed where this one has always felt soft and handles like a 1970’s pickup, and drinks gas like one too. The ‘06 just felt better built too- you couldn’t watch the sheet metal on the hood flex while you drive and you never heard the sheet metal on the roof flex either. You could hear the cheapness in the doors when you close them, and the interior reminds me a bit of GM, covered in cheap materials everywhere you look which wouldn’t bother me if I hadn’t just had the ‘06 which had soft touch materials and was built before the unintended acceleration recall so the carpet wasn’t made of Velcro. Ultimately there’s nothing at all wrong with the 4Runner we just got rid of but I just always found it disappointing compared to the V8 ‘06 we had which I genuinely loved, and we needed one with KDSS or XREAS instead of the very soft off-road oriented suspension. Which brings me to my next point- Brigette did 90% of the driving in it, and she never really got attached to this 4Runner either. The RAV4 gets double the gas mileage of the 4Runner, it’s more comfortable, and we just don’t really need the room of the 4Runner when it’s just us and two medium sized dogs. My complaints of cheap carpet aren’t solved (worse, actually) but otherwise the Rav just makes more sense for us. Maybe I’ll pick up an3rd gen 4Runner or another 4th gen again in a few years.

Also, renting a trailer and towing one of the cars to the Midwest Meets is now officially out of the question. frown.gif

AWD Corolla Hatchback? You mean.... a Matrix? hahaha. Yeah Mai See wanted a Rav too before she found her Matrix and I'm glad she didn't buy a Rav. The Matrix still retains some style and quality. I guess you guys are just gonna have to drive two of the three cars to each meet now. biggrin.gif Hopefully that Rav can still offroad. maybe with a lift kit, big tires, bull bar, light bar, and roof rack. lol.

Daniel, get a 1st gen Rav4 AWD and swap in a 3S-GTE and E250F. Bridgette would love it, you would love it, the dogs would love it, all the people will love it, everyone wins. I mean except your pocket book.

It's fairly well documented too which is cool.

The first gen RAV4 could be had with a 3S-GE and manual, so starting with that it'd be pretty straight forward.

Speaking of swapping Toyotas, I had an ingenious idea. 1UZ swap a manual IS300! Lose weight, better distribution of said weight, and moves the CoG inward. Plus more power. So it's a win, win, win, win.

Well poop, that's a much nicer light for barely any more money. laugh.gif I'll see how this one lasts, if I break the crap out of it (though it feels super sturdy just trying to flex it) I'll upgrade to the streamlight. I like that your light has a high CRI output as well. Does it take drops onto hard surfaces well?

So far so good. Even when open it has taken a few drops from 3-4 feet. Can charge on USB or if you have their stinger flashlights can charge it on that charger. Also has the 3 modes too. Battery life is maybe 3 hours & the magnet is kinda weak is the only down sides I've found.

Not a very pretty thing to behold, is it? Got a coat of Rainx on it today and swapped the interior lighting out for LED’s. The hatch just has a puny 194 in it so I’m going to have to find a different solution there, otherwise all good. Maybe this weekend but probably next weekend I’ll get around to ceramic coating it. LED headlights are decent but the factory fog lights are garbage. I don’t mind driving it though, definitely a more pleasant experience than our 4Runner was. I thought I would hate the parking brake that sets automatically but it’s nice to have in our driveway. It doesn’t climb the curb as easily as the 4Runner did but it does it much more smoothly. We gotta get stickers on it to add one trillion hp though.

Now you guys have got me looking into a better light for working in the garage...

Those are so bright. SOOOO so so so bright. I run them in my high beam buckets in the Celica and they through light on the ground to the sides of the car that I can see on the shoulders driving at night. I put some in Erin's car as puddle lights under the mirrors and they light up like 5 feet on either side of her car so bright you could read a book under the car. The one I put in the hatch, the ONE bulb, lights up the front seat area.

I think I have this one from Menards. Good but gets kinda warm.

The Mazda CX-5 or CX-9 are so much better looking. Did you give those a thought?
