maybe the JDM radiators are different but in the USDM Celicas the bottom tank on the radiators for the auto transmission are separate. it just runs ATF through the bottom tank to cool it, if you don't plug the holes all that will happen is the remaining ATF in that tank will drain out, it doesn't affect anything.

there are two lines that come off the bottom of the radiator, we just hooked those together, didn't see any lines where the coolant would go into the transmission. oh, and turned it in today to get the ball joints replaced, possibly the tie rods, and get the cooling system looked at.
