Yeah I need to start looking for someone around here that takes my insurance. Which I was having to wait on that to be sorted since I turned 26 back in December and that's the cutoff point for being on someone else's insurance, unless they're a spouse, but they make exceptions for the disabled so had to get all of that taken care of.

Have actually been looking into a Maine coon, they're so giant, fluffy, and huggable.

So I joined Grassroots Motorsports last night so I can bother them with my car dilemma. Seems like out of anywhere they might be the best source for unbiased and experienced opinions when it comes to what I'm wanting from a car and the cars I'm considering.

As far as V6 FWD cars go I hear good things about the Accord coupe with the 6-speed. In fact Matt Farah did a One Take on one not that long ago:

Well, I purchased some fortune coils for the Lexus. Solid choice, customer service was great, answered all my question and even have a live rep if you need to skype while installing them. Pretty awesome. Well worth the money. They arent bouncy like other brands which is great. Kinda keeps the Lexus ride but wakes up around turns and what not. Next order of business is to find some wheels. I dont want that stance nation crap. But i need to have a lip in the wheels for sure, or something conclaved

Matt farah is one of 5 people who I can watch on youtube on a constant basis. Ive heard great things about the accords, except the stock wheels always get stolen some how in the large cities

AND YOU DON'T GRACE US WITH PICTURES!? mad.gif Good to hear on the Fortune Auto. As far as rims go you might be able to find some older BBS two piece rims like what my brother has on the Genesis, something like that would probably look good on a SC. Only problem is they're expensive, I think he paid just over $2,000 for an used set... They look nice though, so there's that.

Yeah, him and David Patterson are my preferred car reviewers. Which I remembered there was an Acura CL 3.2 6-speed that was during the time of the 6th gen Accord, and the Acura came with a LSD. Though I imagine they're even rarer than the Accord.

My kilt finally arrived, so that's exciting. Felt a little strange wearing it at first, but now it's like wearing anything else. Of course the first time wearing it out in public I'm sure the strange feeling will return.

So after even more thinking, reading and watching reviews, and even some existential soul searching I think I've managed to narrow it down. As far as other cars that really "speak to me" there's the FC S5 RX-7 and the SW20 MR2. I mean I like the 240SX and some other cars, but they just don't resonate with me in the same way when I look at them. When I envision myself owning and driving something aside from the Firebird those are really the only two cars that stand out to me where I might get that same semblance of feeling special when driving it, or that same feeling of pride owning it.

This weekend I cleaned up the Subie, looks damn good. Still merc yo do the interior but today was horribly windy and didn’t want to back it out and risk it getting dirty again. I’ll try to grab some pics tomorrow. Need to do some work on the car it’s got a chunk out of the passenger side cv and the drivers side is cracked so I’ll do both. Also going to change the fluid in the trans, and change the heat shield on the exhaust. After all that it should be all good.

That's right, once you get your car all cleaned up don't want to take it anywhere. tongue.gif That and maybe it's just me but when I'd go out with someone I'd always clean the car inside and out, even though I was cleaning it once a week anyway. That and I'd throw up a new air freshener to set the atmosphere. laugh.gif

Yeah... I'm fairly confident in my conclusion, for once. So that's a start. Which my brother said he'd sell me the Shinsen, and I love it don't get me wrong, I just don't get that feeling of specialness when driving it though I do have fun. There's a good chance I may end up getting it anyway, but when I look at the SW20 MR2 and FC S5 RX-7 I just get that feeling I get when I look at the Firebird.

Just something about them...

I've concluded that the home improvement trade I know least about is plumbing. It's just annoying sometimes. In theory, you're just moving water from point A to point B. Haha!

There’s definitely a science behind plumbing. We are replacing our water heater this weekend and going tankless. Quite a few changes to make to get it set up but nothing too complicated. At least there’s no black iron drain pipes involved!

Yeah, I've never messed with iron drain pipes. I AM pretty good at soldering copper pipe, so I DO have that skill badge.

Pressure side is easy, it's all clean water and from point A to point B. The drain side is what's tricky...drain pitches, vents per whatever, and it's all **** water.

Yeah, I've never messed with iron drain pipes. I AM pretty good at soldering copper pipe, so I DO have that skill badge.

I’m just the opposite. I haven’t had to work with copper before but at this point, I’ve worked with more than my share of rusted, seized black iron. Digging up a drain line and going from black iron to PVC ain’t no thang at this point. Our old house had clay drains between the house and sewer though. Screw that noise, never again.

I don’t mind the drain pitch, 1/8th inch every foot, or 1” every 8’. Easy enough. Vent pipes are easy enough if they’re planned out ahead of time... unlike that one time we remodeled our old house and added a bathroom and I was pretty far into it before I remembered that I needed a vent pipe. Would t been 10 minutes of work to add when I was building the wall. D’oh.

One of the most mind blowing revelations I’ve had in my 20’s was when I learned that the second mark on my level is the for drain lines. Bubble hits the second line and you’ve set the drain line right.
