Clean install! Wish I could see it at the meet next month.

I'm reserving hope that you will come to your senses

Fantastic job! The attention to detail is manufacture quality. If I don't see this car at the meet next month i'm going to throw a fit.. laugh.gif

Kind words, thank you. And I fully intend to make it there

I think you'll see the benefits of the water injection soon with hotter weather around the corner. Nice job on everything too.

at first I thought I was looking at nozzles for a fire suppression system hahaha

although its not a fire suppression system the install of the injection kit looks mint!

Its a long way before I can justify a suppression system! Frankly I dont think I'll ever build a balls out track car that would warrant it. I'm more of a track capable street car kind of guy

Hi 6gc, heres another update smile.gif

BOOST CONTROLLER INSTALLED!!!!!!1!!!!!!11!!!!!

almost 4 years after the initial swap I finally have full control over the turbo smile.gif I've been holding off until everything else was in place to make the most of the power:

Superstrut suspension to maximize tire contact patch - check
Rebuilt transmission with helical LSD upgrade - check
Watermethanol injection to protect engine from boost spikes - check

With these things in place I can make reliable power, and put it down consistently.

So now I am boosting juuust below fuel cut. There is still some tuning to do before I find the perfect balance between spool and peak boost in all gears, but so far the increase in power is really really satisfying biggrin.gif 5th at 70+ mph has now been upgraded to a competent passing gear

Of all the things I've installed on this car, this was the easiest. Everything just came together really easy. Wiring was easy, routing was easy, and mounting was easy. The only thing that took a little time was bolstering the vacuum source for all of the map sensors. I wanted to increase the diameter of the hoses and tap in at the back of the manifold to ensure a good signal. This wasn't needed for the install though. The car now has a total of 4 map sensors serving all of the guages and controllers and such rolleyes.gif

Phase 2 of project ST205 is officially complete. Time to enjoy the car for a while... and get ready for PHASE 3

Glad you are enjoying the EBC, once dialed in they make for a vast improvement over factory spool up!

there's already a big improvement. Toyota took linear power build up a little too seriously. I prefer the sudden rush of torque as the turbo spools, it's just more fun. The tricky part with tuning is the fact that my cutout causes the controller to overshoot it's target. I'm gonna have to setup a separate boost profile for when it's open.

You and Skyler are leaving me behind. Sounds like I need to wrap the Poopra up and get back to work under the hood of the Celica...

Owning a GT4 in the States and/or having the balls to convert yours puts you guys leagues ahead of me.

Having a toy in general puts me way behind the pack. I'm just trying to get my junk running.

I'm 99% the Altrac is hers and she'd cut his toes off one by one with piano wire if he tried to say otherwise.
