look at this... this is 5th gen Celica Carlos Sainz edition (ST185), 2nd generation of 3S-GTE engine:

so it is 1st (ST165) or 3rd (ST205) generation of 3S-GTE engine, I'm not sure...

but on the picture up top its from a 205 (to my belief) because of the wording on the intercooler.

pretty sure it's an ST205... or at least it's a 6gc celica engine bay. I mean... it's got the same frame... the same radiator support, the same strut tops, the factory strut bar, the factory fuse box... all of it. Only thing... it's LHD as opposed to the usual RHD ST205's... but that's assuming it's an actual ST205 and not a swap... which I tend to think because of the miscellaneous factory stuffs that usually don't get swapped over with a 3SGTE swap. DEFIANTELY not a 1st gen... heh. They don't look like that.

If judge by IC and writing on it - its a regular 3Gen 3SGTE.

Definetly a third gen, as there's no AFM. Unless he's running a standalone or something like that.

Also, I think that's swapped into a USDM 6th Gen since the alternator duct and some other things are missing.

its a 3rd gen motor. you can also tell by the heatshield and the fact that you cant see an oil filter in the same spot where it is on a 2nd gen, because they relocated it to the bottom of th motor. he got the intercooler from a 2nd gen rc motor
