not quite.
manifold $200 (might have to be custom made)
turbo $500 minimum! (depends on which one) unless you can find a way to use the stock turbo from another car. like the way the honda guys use mitsubishi eclipse GST turbos, or I'm going to use a CT-26 from an mr2 turbo
downpipe $250
intercooler, piping, couplers, clamps $500-750
BOV $175
oil return $75
oil feed $50
fuel pump $120
FPR ?
boost gauge $50-200
oil pressure gauge $50-200
gauge pod $50+
boost controller $50-300
Air fuel controller $250-600
custom exhaust $300-500 + muffler

I'm not as familiar with the 7afte but those are your basic parts. I'm not sure if you need bigger injectors or not. plus you'll need to have it tuned on a dyno so add like $150-300 for that.

but seriously, don't ask us to give you the ENTIRE parts list. You're going to have read and research for months. you really need to understand what everything does. The turbo is not a simple project, and you don't even have your license yet. seriously, wait until you have the car, then do simple things like changing the oil and replacing spark plugs while you read and research and maybe you'll be ready to delve into a turbo project in several months.

my prices are pretty close to reality. except maybe the turbo and manifold. but, I think you need to have a custom manifold made, and if you're buying like a T3/T4 it'll cost like $500-1000 (i'm not really sure). If you think you can get these parts for cheaper, then go right ahead. but I paid close to these prices for my parts and I shopped around for the best deals I could find.

What about injectors? Did someone already say that? Are they needed?

Whoops sorry I see someone already put that.

Ive been getting all the parts for a 7AFTE setup in the past few months and heres what ive come up with for the cost of doing it and where i got the parts from:
$110 - Intercooler Piping Kit with T-Bolt clamps (Ebay)
$125 - Greddy BOV (Ebay)
$160 - Gauges (AFR, electrical Boost, Oil Pressure) (DEFTRacing)
$50 - Oil feed line (Ebay)
$80 - Oil drain line (Ebay)
$35 - Oil catch can (Ebay)
$52 - Gauge Pod (Lotek 3-gauge) (Lotek's site)
$85 - MR2 MAP sensor (MR2OC)
$35 - Silicone Tee Hose for BOV (Ebay)
$270 - SAFC2 (Ebay)
$360 - Turbo from a Subaru Legacy (IHI RHB5), Manifold, FMU, 250cc 4AGE injectors, INNOVATE LC-1 Wideband O2 Sensor, Manual Boost Controller (all from a 6GC member)
$50 - OEM Supra intercooler, and 440CC 7MGTE Injectors (a local buddy)
$300 - 2.5" exhaust with a custom made flange

Total
$1712 + some time to put it all in and without tuning

with tuning it will probably be over 2k depending on how much the fees are for dyno time

feel free to PM me if you have any questions about this

it really depends on how long you want it to run and last with some of the ebay stuff ,some of it is ok and you could find good deals on name brand stuff . i built my celica on a budget and got the cheap ebay knock offs and ended up buying the good stuff a month or so later and so far tuning it has cost a bit . but i am always after more.... haha

cheap turbo project = blown motor.

Save money, and do it right. U get what u pay for. yes there are some places that you can get a "deal" but some u just have to bite the bullet, and drop the dough to get something that is going to perform.

I included the manifold in there somewhere, the fuel pump i forgot but it was included with the turbo and manifold. Downpipes for IHI RHBs are few and far between so a custom one is being made with the rest of the exhaust

How would someone your age get insurance on such a highly modified car?

Either insurance policies are VERY different over there or you'll be doing it illegally and not declaring?!
