whats been done in the inside Tom's pedal set, which were already in there ![]() Just browsing your thread because your car is perdy, I noticed this - they're definitely TOMs pedals? I have the same, but had been unaware they were anything of interest, thought they were "hey, lets replace these for the lols" pedals. A+ trader, would read again! ![]() Tom's Brakelines ~new 97 ST202 SS-II twin pot calipers MacPherson ones TRD Black pads 97+ MacPherson ST202 04491-SW210 ~ new (Discontinued items btw) Going to rebuild these calipers first, then install all together, not too sure when though? These brakes swap over without any additional work required, unlike the SS strut brakes which require the carrier arm from the singles to work on MacPherson strut. - from what I've read. -------------------- |

nice.
what do you mean carrier arm?? the member forgmann had a set of these for sale from superstrut and he bolted it onto the mcpherson suspension. The width between the mounting points on brake bracket for all gt4 (4piston) to n/a celica's (single or twin piston) is 5.25 inches. care to show us pictures of difference between single piston and twin piston brake pads please. Not entirely sure Bonzai, read it a while ago, UK owners were going on about it. Once they swapped to twinpots they used part/s from their old single brakes.
Will try to get some picture when I find time to install. Nope, these are only good for MacPherson strut type, I think goodridge make some for ST205 though? -------------------- |

anyway its about time for the next stage this time I'll be looking at a whiteline swaybar, adjustables coilovers, rims (still haven't found any I like, im I just picky?) oh and these......... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() points about these: the rotor is almost the same size as my rims ![]() UPDATE Thinking of going away from these brakes now and improving the brakes I have now, so will be looking at slotted brake rotors, pads and stainless steeel brake lines, because it works out cheaper than doing all the work with the gt4 brakes (custom rotors and lines and modiflying them to fit etc) this was all the way back in July of 2009. I"m assuming you sold em? yea about the brake pads, I see in your pic of the calipers two different pads. but anyhow I"ll just wait till you install them This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Aug 29, 2012 - 4:45 PM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

Yes I have GT-Four brakes, but wont be installing them.
Nope haven't sold them yet ,still have them stored away. The top one is the factory twin pot pad, the one below it is the trd pad Oh really, thats ashame. Don't like your chances of the ST185 lines working, I would think they would be too short? -------------------- |

nope haven't had the time, however have had the calipers rebuilt, so they are good to go
Recently I've had one led guage light flash randomly, so invested in a Spree led kit ![]() ![]() ![]() everything was nicely labelled, and intructions are very helpful so you know which one goes where really happy with how they came out, brightness, coverage etc, the CC unit still looks a bit green, down the line I'll need to adjust the position of that led I think ![]() ![]() ![]() (dirty from roadworks) Also installed ZZE123 Corolla clear side markers from TRDGT4, the other clear ones I had were changing colour and the rubber was starting to fall apart ![]() ![]() in other news my passenger side, rain visor (really nothing more than a splash) is missing a big chunk in it, it had a bit of a crack in it unitl someone as done something, so im ordering a new set from Toyota NZ. -------------------- |

In preparation of putting the brakes etc on, cleaned and then painted the calipers -credit to my brother for doing it.
Decided on black over red, as it looks cleaner, easier to keep clean/ harder to show up dirt etc and everyone seems to do red ![]() ![]() I think i prefer it with the shim in place, gives it a nice shine, as the pads only show up 'T' 'D' -------------------- |
