Hi guys, after driving for a bit today i stopped at the local autoshop for about 5 min then when i went to leave the car wouldnt start. the engine would turn over but not fire (didnt even work jumpstarting it. the exhaust made noise while rolling but there were no rev's).. then, after about 20 minutes of letting it sit for a bit it started with no problem.. then again when i got home it wouldnt start.. any idea's???? would be much appreciated

i had been having some troubles with it clicking but the thing is it wouldnt even roll start.. could that still be battery issue? i was thinking fuel pump maybe but wouldnt that cause it to not start at all? it starts after its been sitting there a bit, it was running fine on Sunday and today..

well when it happend 2 me. it did the same thing 2 me but it wouldent start after it sat for a wile, but the whole making that sound when u try 2 roll start, thats what happend 2 me and it was the batt it was so bad it would not hold any charge at all, it would not roll start and it would run for a few days after i hooked it up to a batt charger. but its just an idea. u dont have to get a new batt just get it tested.

thanks stwin, definatly something to look in to. everything is getting power tho (can sit there parked for ages with the radio on etc and have it start first time.) update. yesterday while driving home from work, it was running fine and the n i got to a round about after about 20 minutes of driving and the engine seemed to lose all life for a split second after taking off (nice n slow ofcourse) in first and then did a huge lurching bunnyhop, the C.E.L came on and then started to go again..

now, my main engine bearing has needed to be done for a while. Could this be the cause of all or atleast some of the problems..?

oh and yes, as far as i can tell im getting spark

main bearing wouldnt cause that. it'd run till it blows up.

sounds like a coil, or loose connection. check your codes. that will point you in the right direction

no. check your codes. pop open the diagnostic box next to your brake master cly and put a wire between the E and TE1 pins, turn your key on(dont start) and count the flashes. digit one will flash, short pause, digit two, medium pause, digit one of next code, short pause, digit two of 2nd code, long pause...etc no codes will be continuous flashing.
