Newest update and probably the best one I can present to you guys. I'm very happy to announce that I have finally reached the end of the deployment and am looking to get back to the project here in the next month or so. As most of you have seen, I have ordered a good amount of parts over these nine months and am looking to order a few more upon my return. It will finally be nice to get back home, back to work, andhopefully to finally make it to a long awaited meet.

Thank you everyone for your support during this deployment and keeping us in your prayers.

Miss my 6gc family.
Joe

*UpdATE 12/12/13*

So if most of you don't know yet, I am back home from deployment. Made it back safe and sound as I promised. Now its time to get back to work, my job and my baby. I worked on her a little bit yesterday and actually got quite a bit accomplished. I installed my HKS BOV, Boost Controller, and removed the front sway bar(which was way easier than expected), also Painted my 205 calipers and bought from my local parts store(Autozone) my TT Supra Rotors and Break pads. Still got a bit more to do, but the intent is to have her up and running by the beginning of the spring time. I will post pics as soon as I can so as always Stay tuned.

What are the rotors off and the size?
Are they a direct fit?

They are from a TT supra so no they are not direct fit. In order for them to work the stud points need to be drilled to 5x100. A supras stud spacing is at 5x114. Nothing a drill press can't fix.

But in other news, progress was slow but steady this evening. Got my clutch ordered and got the new front sway bar bolted up. I have to say it was a lot easier and less time constraining getting the old one out than it was getting the new one in. Tomorrow should be a little more productive, going to write up my fuel pump relay and intercooler relay, as well as wiring my heat exchanger fans to my radiator fans rather them being on constant run. As far as parts on order. I have a new oil catch can (old one it's shot somehow has stripped threads on the fittings) engine came without top mount over flow tank so rather the searching endlessly for a new one, I ordered a radiator breather tank that I will be using as a reservoir tank instead. Ordered new coilovers by Megan since my tunabes are shot as well. And lasltly my windshield washer pump, mine has stopped pumping since her final days in Japan so thinking it's time for a new one. Next order hourly will be my ssIII Rear seats, and paint. I well post pics as often as I can so stayed tuned and keep the advice and opinions coming, I always love to hear from you guys.

Thanx

*UPDATE 12/23/13*
Just a small update, recieved my clutch in the mail today. Given the busy work week I havent had much time to really work on her as much as Id like to. But the process is slowly coming along further and further each week. If everything continue to go smoothly I should be looking at having on the road as soon as early spring. Once I get her running I will tackle the interior a little bit by reupholstering the headlinger with black leather rather than the current fleece material finishing of with some SSIII Rear seats. Fallowed by taking her into the body shop and having all the minor dings scratches and chips repaired.

As always STAY TUNED.

*UPDATE 01-09-14*
Well I've reached the point that my knowledge and expierence could take me. Unfortunatly I had to rely on some outside help, so I sent her to a local shop and let them work on the finishing touches to get her up and running again. These touches include: Changing out my flywheel, clutch, building a custom B-pipe from the down pipe to the cat, and solving the mystery of why the ECU isnt sending the single to the fuel pump to operate even after checking and rechecking the wiring, pump itself, and relays. They are steadily working on her and I should get her back and finally running by Tuesday the latest. After that I will be finishing up my suspension with brand new megan racing coilovers and buttoning up the rear sway bar then the next and final stop will be paint, with same color code with a hint of little extras that hope you all will enjoy. Until then stay tuned.

*UPDATE 3-11-14*

I know it's been a while since I've updated on the project and most of you who have been there since the beginning are wandering what the hell is going on with it or if I even still own the car. Lol, you can rest assure I do still own the car and currently still building it. She is still in the shop, the mechanics are working and doing their best to fix any and all little issues and gremlins that the car has. This way I won't have to go back for a while. So far I've had to replace the fuel pump, transmission, clutch, axles, and knock sensor. Ordered a valve cover from Jason tx since mine was cracked. Also ordered both the upper and lower oil pans from him as well since mine received quite a bit of damage during shipment. Once the car is finished at the shop her next stop will be the paint shop where she'll get a whole new make over in dent repair, paint and even a new spoiler, once completed I'll throw some new shoes on her upgrading to 18" instead my original 17s and brand new coilovers. She'll also be reviving a brake upgrade with st205 front and rear calipers, supra front rotors, and OEM rears. As I count down the days, I get more Anna more excited to get her back and back behind the wheel. I will update add much add I can when I can and also provide as many pictures as I can.

AS ALWAYS, STAY TUNED!!!!!!

*UPDATE 3-13-14*

Ok the time has come for me to reveal some sneak peak pics of everything that has been happening to the car since I've been back from Afghanistan. As I stated while I was deployed, "I couldn't wait to get back and get to work on her" and that is exactly what I've been doing. Aside from waiting for the shop to finish up the las minor details so I can get her into paint and on the road by the summer.

!!!WARNING YOU ARE ABOUT TO VIEW A S**T LOAD OF PICTURES!!!!!!

Let's take a look at the Interior Trim
I got tired of faking the fumk with carbon decal wrap and decided to talk to yellowchinaman about some real carbonfiber and I must say is work is magnificant.

Also I got a hold of an HKS EVC-S for really low cost. The install was a lot easier than I expected. Can wait to get it all set up.

Another item I ordered and actually got the oppurtunity to hear was my HKS BOV, and boy does she sound as great as she looks.

Did some work on my relay box cover that got damaged, over all Im pretty proud for not having done any body work in almost three years.

A little bondo

Some sanding and finally paint

Now on the the Suspension. I decided to change out my Tanabe coilovers and go with a set of Megans. Since I had already installed a set on a celica previously and got to test them I was over all satisified with the ride and decided to go with their EZ street setup. Since I was going to change them out and I already had strut bars in the front and rear, I figured why not change out the front and rear sway bars as well for a stiffer ride and and more ridgity around the corners. So I pick up a set of ST front and rears.

Here is the OEM and ST Front, Unfortunately I dont have comparrison pics of the rears, sorry guys.

To go along with the suspension I picked up some 2" spacers and st 205 front calipers. I still need a set of rears before I install the whole setup.

My new spacers(Left) compared to my old(right)

That's all for now, I will update with more pics very soon hope you enjoyed them and as always

STAY TUNED!!!!!

So next on my modifications list was to upgrade the factory heat exchanger to a slightly bit thincker one. The idea is that it would allow more water to pass through intercooler and with more fins it would also allow the water to cool faster as it return back to the top mount. Another idea I had incorporated was two 6" electric pulling fans that are wired into the radiator fan relay, therefore pulling in twice as much air for the intercooler and radiator as the fans kick on.
