I'd say Subaru is a great car but I parked a WRX a while back and the freaking clutch was just like the one on my Dad's old 3/4 ton Chevy.
It felt like there was a 25 pound weight and a spring on the other side of that pedal. -------------------- Bust a Deal; Face the Wheel.

I've driven a wrx and the clutch wasn't that bad. -------------------- |

Yeah, seems the days of stock heavy clutches are over. Even the Mustang and Challenger have a light clutches, thank you hydraulic throwout bearings.
Something kind of funny happened yesterday afternoon. Had a kid that couldn't have been older than twelve or so give me the peace sign as his mom drove past the Firebird. It was just great because you could see his face light up as he saw the car, it reminded me of myself at that age. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Clayed the hood on the Mazda while it's parked in the garage and I'm driving the Celica. Looks/feels much better. Need to spend some time with the 3M rubbing compound and buffer to get it knocked down, lots of fine scratches and some mild orange peel. Might just go get the hood painted when they fix the wheel well area too...

Today I installed my jdm rear seats in the Subie. The interior is much better now and is a nice place to sit.

Picked up the air cleaner assembly from a '79 350 C-10 for the Firebird. Suppose can use it to make a cowl induction or cold air setup. That or what I'd really like to do is find a shaker lid, cut a templated hole into my hood, and then make a sealed shaker assembly that only draws air from the scoop. All I know is it's not liking the tiny open air element filter with the hood closed, so anything will be better really. Of course it has lots of surface rust, but nothing that can't be easily taken care of. I did notice the lid gasket that seals onto the base was in good shape/new so that's a bonus.

Today my dad, brother and myself went to a cars and coffee. I took my 914 and had a great time. There were a lot of interesting things there. The was a F430, e46 m3, new Viper, couple of 911s, an FD, and more. My dad also ended buying this 87 Alfa Romeo Milano.

May God, or the Pope, have mercy on his soul.
So I went to Wally-World and picked up some Rustoleum epoxy paint to redo the Rally II rims and possibly the intake lid. On the way home I stopped for fuel and then panicked when I saw it had gone up to $2.80 a gallon, then gave some money to someone in need as I was leaving. Which $2.80 a gallon doesn't seem bad until you remember it gets you 12 miles down the road. This post has been edited by Box: May 2, 2015 - 7:03 PM -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Actually the car runs really well. The previous owners did a lot of work to it and the guy we bought it from had a ton of paper work on it. Apparently it was owner by the president of the Alfa club in Arizona. It's not a fast car or a great handler but it sounds fantastic, and it's just a fun drive.

It's sort of like the 914, you just buy one to have the keychain to show off... Oh wait...

That paint needs some lovin though. Yeah we plan on giving it a good wax and buff. I think it'll clean up decently. -------------------- |
