It wasn't an attack on you, please don't take it as one. I've dealt with someone who has dissociative episodes along with panic attacks depression eating disorder etc, it's difficult to say the least. Over time it can cause some pretty deep issues between people. Casey and yourself seem pretty happy together, I'd hate to see either of you lose the other and be unhappy. You bring up something serious then when real talk happens you brush it aside as a throw away, fine if that's how you deal with things. Just don't bring up serious topics if you don't want serious talk about them.

And what I said about masochist and sadist was a joke about building a temperamental car with parts made of near unobtanium, not a dig at either of you so again don't take it as such.

I mean I could talk about it if you want, but... I don't want to burden the forum with personal drama / abuse from my first 32 years of life.

So if you feel like it, you can DM me on FB or something.

I think what really happened is I got mixed up on thinking that you were saying I'm the masochist and she's the sadist as a sexual joke instead of an "I hope you have deep pockets and tons of patience" joke.

Muh bad tho.

Are those 350Z headlights too?

Have 350Z headlights become the new LS swap?

Oh yeah, found a 31mm LED that uses the same chip as those LED headlight bulbs. Only came in cool white, but at least it should make the most out of the only interior light and it'll match the tag/trunk lights.

Which headlight bulbs? Interior LED's and those meant to provide forward illumination are two entirely different roles, I suspect you'll be unhappy with the harshness of the light. I got some very nice custom LED's from a guy who's sadly no longer in business. They dim just like a halogen bulb would and he could mix/match LED's for different light color combos beyond the standard 3 colors of cold, neutral, and warm. He also had 3 brightness levels of 120ma, 90ma, and 60ma power draws, all built on a solid aluminum PCB for heat sinking. I have a 90ma neutral white in my Celica and it's super bright and matches the feel of the car nicely, the Mazda got a 120ma warm white and it's bonkers bright like a 100W halogen in the car. He used only real Osram LED's and high quality power supply parts. Pricey but totally worth it!

Sadly he seems to be gone now, if you can track him down and get a hold of him maybe he's got a couple left somewhere or could make you some.

The main reasoning for the change in thought being it's the only source of interior light, on top of that the factory lense is smoked, and as much as I liked the amber lighting in the Firebird it was useless for seeing any modicum of detail. Plus I remembered whatever bright white LED my brother put into the Shinsen was barely enough, and they were blinding in the Genesis.

The tag lights came in, so I installed those. Super easy to install, nice fit and finish, and very good light output:

LED interior lights came in right after:

Glad I went with something brighter after all, the tinted lense cuts it down a lot.

Casey: Look, you can see the car now!
Me: Neat, let's see!
Casey: And?
Me: I'm so proud of you *hugs* It looks nice! You can see, for sure...
Casey:...
Me, Internally: I love being blinded by the placard lights while I'm driving down the street, while following someone at night.

I was talking about the plate lights.

I went back and edited

If you can see directly into those Miata plate lights it's because Casey just ran you over.
That being said I am all for blacking out the sides of the lamp so it doesn't shed a ton of light rear or sidewards where it's not intended to go.

I broke a stud on the driver fog light bracket because I was using a ratchet too big once I had gotten the nut free and moving, couldn't tell the difference between the soft M6 stud twisting and the rusty threads dragging on the nut. I should have swapped to my lil 1/4 inch ratchet but no, I felt like being stupid. So I broke it. Luckily I have a spare for reasons (aborted project), wiped it down with acetone and shot some satin black OEM like paint on it. I did get the filter washed with the special AEM sauce, first time since 2016. It's all together except the bumper cover which I meant to do tonight but didn't do tonight, will do Thursday and drive this weekend. I think I'll run it once more for a bit with to check the lines to ease my anxieties a bit more before the bumper goes on and I can't get to anything.

I hear you need a replacement stud.

A bit late to the party, and your stud is well spoken for already.
