This past 2 days I've gotten my wheels on, and all 4 fenders rolled.
*Car is lowered to fitment of 225/45 tires. *Perfect height and not too low for me. *Wheel specs are 225/45/17 on 17x9.5 with 32 offset.* Fronts didn't clear the brake caliper and rear was scraping the coil over springs. *Added 5mm spacer on all 4's, fronts cleared the brake caliper, rear cleared the spring.* After this, I started getting tire rubbing only on the Passenger Rear just over small dips n bumps on the road, just barley scratching it but with the wheel spinning at 30-65mph, sounds so dramatic and horrible. *switched rears from 225/45 to 215/45* This cleared all the rubbings issues and lets me road dive without issues, but now I got a good little wheel gap, and I'm not liking the stretch look, missing the 225/45. *Current Setup -Fronts 17x9.5 225/45/17 with 5mm Spacer Offset=27 -Rears 17x9.5 215/45/17 with 5mm Spacer Offset=27 *Also no alignment yet. Before I get my alignment, I want to know if I took off the 5mm Spacers and added a 3mm all around instead would this clear? I want to add the 225/45 back on the rears and only changed it because I had work that night and didn't want to risk my daily. The new setup would be: -Fronts 17x9.5 225/45/17 with 3mm Spacer Offset=29 -Rears 17x9.5 225/45/17 with 3mm Spacer Offset=29 and then alignment. Anyone have thoughts or experiences? |
