So i got my new 16" rims, they are 16x7 or 7.5..cant remember..any ways, i used a tire size calculator on the net and it said i need a 205/50R16...but that seems a lil bit narrow for a wider rim. Whats the proper size i should have

a 225/45r16 will work just fine

i think its the min for 7-7.5in
they should fit anywhere from 205 to 225 it doesnt really matter that much

if you just get the wider ones so they stick out a little and help [slightly] reduce curb scratches on the rims
[i guess thats the logic in it]

I wouldn't go with a 205 size, that is what came on my rims and the lip has no curb protection. I would go with either a 215 or 225

if you use a wide tire on narrow rims. it will not seem nice. it will be like a track tire.
i am using 225mm wide tires on 8'' wide rims. first of all mesure your rims how wide are them. if they are 7'' go for 205. if 7.5'' go for 215 45 16

I work at costco tire center.....225 dont fit on 7" wheels right will make tire wear unevenly plus at a good tire shop that does everything by the book they will not do it. 225 will fit on a 7.5" to a 8.5" so if they are 7.5 i would go for the 225... 7... 205
