Well having imported lots of cars with my uncle who was a used japanese car dealer, I have to agree that the starting bid can be a bit low and the end price quite higher. Nevertheless, there is a deciding factor about the actual increase of the end price. You see, right hand drive countries are not that many and sometimes there may be restrictions on the age of the car to be able to even import it.
For example, Cyprus has a 5 year limit and therefore any car over 5 years old cannot be imported and registered in Cyprus.
You cannot imagine how many times I found cars which were half the price because they were just over 5 years old.

Luckily, we do not have limit on cars age. You would not believe how many old used cars were imported from EU since our entry to the community - almost 2 million since May 2004. A lot of Celicas too, mainly 5g. When I bought my 6g GT in July 2004 it was rare, now you see 6gc (mainly ST) almost on every corner ( wink.gif ). To be unique one needs GT4 (there are like 4 or 5 in the whole country). Well... at least I want to be unique that way. biggrin.gif
