Manual transmission (mine is a from a 95 ST)
Manual ECU (if you have OBDII get an OBDII ECU)
Shifter cables
Clutch slave cylinder (was attached to my tranny)
Clutch master cylinder (mine came from a junkyard with hard-line attached)
Clutch hard-line (from master cylinder)
Clitch rubber line (from the hard-line to slave cylinder)
Clutch pedal assembly (w/ bracket & bolts)
Brake pedal (bracket and bolts not necessary)
Motor mount (drivers side is the only one necessary, difference is in the bracket)
Flywheel (w/ 6 bolts)
Clutch (new)
Pressure plate (new)
Throwout bearing (new)
Fork (came in the tranny)
Shifter assembly (I got the TRD which came with a knob)
Shift boot (bought new OEM from dealer, about $25)
Manual shifter surround (auto shifter surround does not have the clips to hold the shift boot)
4 C clips (for shifter cables and rubber clutch line, about $0.95 each from the dealer)
Transmission fluid (Synchromesh)
Brake fluid (for clutch cylinder)
1-1/4" holesaw (makes it easier to drill the hole in the firewall for the master cylinder)

if anyone wants pictures or has any questions you can ask me, Manny (presure2), or Dustin (Batman722)

Lesbian Lova, do you have any part numbers for the things your ordered from Toyota? the cluch line and throw out bearing?
Also the shifter boot?
and is the TRD what Dustin has in the GT and ST? i remember liking that one ALOT.

I'm trying to hunt down some of these parts... i'm really sick of the auto thing and now that i have 2 cars the celica can have a little down time.

JDM Guy I will of course be asking for your help... maybe if i can get everything together we can have a "meet" my garage isn't that big but if you can do it Manny's mom's mine should work. w/e. I am assuming if i get a hold of all the parts on steff's list (thank you SO much for that list btw) we can bust this out in a day?

i'm going to have a lot of questions so bear with me. smile.gif

ps: i <3 u guys

Hunt down a 5psd ST in a local junk yard. Which is a hard car to find. Or put up a WTB here for ST manual parts. ST to 3S swappers should have some.
You need an OBDI manual ECU. All those parts up top, I'm not sure about the axles.

OEM replacement clutch. You should be able to score a flywheel where you get the tranny from.

you don't need a new ECU but your O/D light will be on in your dash all the time, so just pull the bulb. If you wanted you could get a 94 or 95 M/T ECU, but it won't make a diff.

your axles will work just fine. They are the same with A/T and M/T (ST).

for you an OEM clutch would be just fine. There is someone in the FS section selling a 7a flywheel, buy it and have it resurfaced, you will need it (along with the bolts). Make sure you get a new carrier bearing from the dealer. The clutch and pressure plate you could get off ebay, but make sure you get a OEM replacement made by aisin (sp?).

yes but you would also need the bracket. The auto tranny one is different than the manual tranny one. Look for someone who swapped for some ST parts, they are much cheaper used.

also, I have a list of stuff at home that would be useful to you. Leter tonight I'll PM them to you.

you need the clutch pedal assembly and the brake pedal rubber pad.

and yes, 5 is the mount and 6 is the bracket. Also, the rear A/T mount you can use but again you need the M/T bracket. I think it's the same story with the front, but I can't remember right now. I'm sure Steff will post up in the later tonight with more info.

Wow, congrats to those who have done this swap as it's one that I will probably never do as it would be horrible and I'll never buy an automatic.

if you get a tranny from a junkyard the brackets will probably already be attached, mine were. if not you need both brackets...

IPB Image
these are some things I got with my tranny but you may or may not get with yours, you need to make sure you have them

circled in red are the two brackets
circled in green is the slave cylinder (you can get that new)
the blue arrow is where your reverse light plugs into... not a big deal but maybe you want to look for the plug from a manual harness. the one on your auto harness has a 3-pin connector and won't fit, on my car the wires are just cut and spliced into that. it came loose once but we and fixed it and its been just fine since, we know why that happened so wouldn't make the same mistake on your car.

you can actually get most of the parts new from Toyota for great prices, had I known I would have done that cause it may have actually been cheaper. me and Dustin made a list a while ago, he might still have it at home, he'll try and get it for you tonight or just look it up again for you.

like Dustin said, your axles will work just fine. that list I made is pretty comprehensive, I put everything on it down to the stupid C clips we had to run out and get from the dealer.
and yes, if you have all the parts we can bang it all out in a day... two at most. its real easy

I'll post up a crap load of pictures of all my parts for you in a bit...

Need to Find:
Manual transmission

Shifter cables
IPB Image

Fork this also came in my tranny
IPB Image
(with the throw out bearings, new one on the right did not fit. came in the clutch kit from ebay. get it from the dealer)

Clutch pedal assembly (w/ bracket & bolts)
Brake pedal (bracket and bolts not necessary)
IPB Image
(with the master cylinder w/ hard line attached and half a rubber line... you need the whole rubber line btw)
^clutch pedal and bracket on the right, brake pedal and bracket on the left
clutch pedal bracket is held in by three of those nuts/bolts and one of those springs
we just took out the actual pedal part for the brake and attached it to my existing bracket
placement of the pedals is the same for GT and ST so either should be just fine
IPB Image

New/From Dealer:
Motor mount Part #?

Flywheel (w/ 6 bolts)

Carrier Bearing

Clutch

Pressure plate

Shifter assembly TRD? TWM SS? both Dustin's cars have 7th gen shifters. you can drive my TRD and see how you like that too before you make a decision
IPB Image

Clutch slave cylinder

Clutch master cylinder

Clutch hard-line

Clutch rubber line

Throwout bearing

Manual shifter surround Part #? Panel, Sub Assembly #58804-20180-C0.
you also need the shift boot, I don't have the part number for that but I did buy it new from the dealer for like $25

IPB Image

4 C clips Part #? its a standard part, Dustin can get it for you

Other:

Transmission fluid

Brake fluid

1-1/4" holesaw Manny may still have the one we used for my car

Tina, are you coming to the RI meet?
we can show/explain everything to you then if you'd like.... anything for you my lesbian lova wink.gif

Steff- I LOVE YOU.

Yes I am comming and i will be picking your brains at the meet.

As far as parts go I just found a GT brake pedal and clutch pedal on e-bay. Both with the brakets... neither has the bolts though. I THINK. I'll ask the guy if he can throw the bolts in there for me.

My best friend works at Autozone, so i gave him a copy of the list, Friday he's going to see what he can get new for me.

I remember when i drove dustins ST and GT i LOVE the shifter, so he has the 7th gen TRD SS? I think i'm going to go with that.

ooooo i am so excited... these parts are not as hard to find as i thought they'd be.

Steff- did i mention i <3 you? haha i doooo

biggrin.gif I am excited for you! I remember not knowing if I had the right parts and nobody could tell me if what I had would work... it was not fun, so I'll do whatever I can to answer any questions you can come up with and make it as easy as possible for you.

first you need to find a tranny since it may already have a lot of parts on it. then you can post some pics of it and we can tell you exactly what you already have and what you still need.

but yeah... you can go ahead with stuff like the pedals (junkyard), master cylinder (try new), shifter cables (junkyard), shifter surround and boot (new), throwout bearing/clutch/pressure plate (new)

you may not need to worry about the nuts for the pedals too much, they're just a standard size... Toyota uses them in other places too. you do need that spring though, if it comes with the bracket it should have the spring with it too, just make sure.

Dustin's SS are just from ebay I believe. the TRD SS is completely different, feels completely different. IMO it shifts smoother, you can dive mine at the meet. if you still like his better thats actually cheaper than the TRD shifter, if you want the TRD shifter I can link you to where I got mine... I think its a little cheaper now.

Edit: Yes i'd like the link if you have it plz smile.gif

Edit: We have bolts- smile.gif springs- checking

Dan said he has a transmission so i'm going to try to get a pic from him. If he can't get it or w/e i'll find a junkyard, Jeff gave me a good place so i'll see what they have.

i'm trying to track down some shifter cables right now

my problem right now is that toyota world isn't working. It wont let you put items in your cart. Sooooo i may have to get a list together and just call them.
