I'm bit confused about that window tint thing... Here in every local shop I can hear:
- stock window tint is 11% - maximum allowed tint is 30% front side, etc... But according this post there are also numbers like 70% in some US states!!! So... is that mean how much light can go through or how much is window darker? Or it's (again) different in US and in Europe how to describe window tint? However... I would like to see car with tint 30% darker than stock on windows (or something around). That means 70% of light can go through... thanks folks -------------------- No more replicas... ![]() those are 15% tints. those are the darkest i would recommend. the lower the %, the darker the tints. the % is (light let out)/(light let in) if i remember correctly. 5% are limo tints. -------------------- ![]() I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. |

If your right about Europe, than it's just different here. Here 70% is barely tinted. 30% is the darkest legal tint. (in Oregon at least). But I know a few people that run 15% or 10%. One guy even had 5%. Can't see sh** through it.

I had 5% in the rear 3 and 15% upfront. When I picked it up from the shop (at night) I noticed a difference, but after that it (next night) it didn't bother me anymore, and I hardly noticed a difference. My sub box was also full of led's that reflected off the hatch and those COMBINED with the tint made it a TAD bit hard to back up at night in the rain...but that was the only time my tint bothered me.

![]() My windows are 14.4% because I'm So cool. In the States the percentage is the amount of light that penetrates the glass. 70% is the max ur legally allowed to have on your car. (its basicly stock, no modificatioin) I currently have 15% on my fronts (aka 14.4%) and %5 (limo) on everything behind the doors. -------------------- ![]() Kawi Love |

The % is the amount of light that can pass through the tint.
